Catalyst Game Labs and Frederator Studios are pleased to announce they’ve entered into a licensing agreement for Catalyst Game Labs to publish collectable card games based upon Cartoon Hangover’s Bravest Warriors and Bee and PuppyCat.

A new journey for Pendleton Ward’s Bravest Warriors launches in 2014 with an evolutionary card game from Catalyst Game Labs, based upon the LevelUp system. Designed by industry innovator Greg Gorden—who created some of the industry’s quintessential early games in the original Star Wars, Torg and Earthdawn RPGs—LevelUp is a cooperative play card game with fractured story telling. Players—playing as the Bravest Warriors—will face a variety of threats grouped into Episodes. As the players determine which cards are faced, along with their character abilities they roll dice to defeat those challenges. As a challenge is defeated, the card is flipped over to reveal a reward, a trap or perhaps an even more challenging villain! And as the Bravest Warriors advance, their cards flip-over, leveling up to unlock new strengths and powers!

The fact that we’re able to wed this to such fantastic animated series in Bravest Warriors, Bee And PuppyCat and The Reward is all the sweeter. There is so much potential for storytelling in this game that’ll immerse players into their favorite animated series, and for a pile of great fun along the way.”

Bee and PuppyCat follows Bee, ever the reluctant heroine, who becomes entangled in the adventures of a puppy (…or is he a cat?) as they travel between reality and the void of Fishbowl Space. Created by Natasha Allegri, character designer and storyboard artist for Adventure Time, Bee and PuppyCat will continue their travels in 2014 as they join the Bravest Warriors in the LevelUp card game, bringing their wackiness to any tabletop.
