Last month we issued a challenge to Star Trek: Attack Wing players to take on the Kobayashi Maru Mission that is available in the STAW U.S.S. Enterprise expansion pack.

In this masterfully played attempt at the dreaded Kobayashi Maru “no-win scenario”—Gene Miller successfully beams the 3 crew of the Kobayashi Maru to safety while avoiding destruction at the hands of the Klingon fleet in 6 turns!  Jason Zablotney valiantly tries to get maneuver Jean-Luc Picard into his cross-hairs but is unable to destroy the Federation ship before it can escape from the quadrant.

Our consolation prize for one of the un-successful attempts at the Kobayashi Maru mission (or successful for the Klingon player—it is all a matter of perspective!) goes to Will Sanchez and Brad Brooks playing at Coolstuff Games in Maitland, FL.

As a Klingon-honorable mention, a shout out to Andrew Jones and Daniel Harris playing at Game Nite in St. Louis, MO— in the game Daniel’s Klingon Boarding Party disables Andrew’s upgrades including Captain James T. Kirk’s “Cheat Death” Elite Talent upgrade before landing the killing blow! Qapla’!
