This year at GenCon, you will be
able to take part in the Carcassonne National Championship, in hopes of
making it all the way to the World Championship in Essen!
While we do not have much information yet about how the tournament will work, we can tell you this:
- The basic rules of the Carcassonne World Championship will be
observed: so it will be two-player games, with only the base game. The
player with the highest score makes it to the next round.
- There will be 16 players that will go head-to-head in the finals of
the National Championship, but only one who will make it to the World
Championship.
- There will be prizes given out in other qualification rounds, so
there is not only one prize in the tournament; there is one GRAND prize
and some smaller prizes.
- GRAND PRIZE:
The winner of the National Championship will get his/her ticket to fly
to Essen to represent the U.S at the Carcassonne World Championship!
