WizKids Press Release - WizKids October/November Release Date Updates
From the WizKids Website
We have a couple of updates on the shipping schedule for our October and November products.
Some of you may not be aware that there has been a major west coast port issue affecting all imported goods coming into the country. As such, many of our products destined for North and South America have been moving through the system slower than usual. European product, imported by Esdevium Games, should be unaffected by any delays and the release dates will be confirmed on both Esdevium’s and WizKids’ websites.
For those of you that wish to know the extent of the issue we’ve been wrestling with for months, you can go here to read about the situation.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Despite our effort to adjust our schedules to account for unforeseen logistics issues, the magnitude of the problem at the port ate up all of our slack time and has resulted in the delays outlined below.

WizKids Press Release - Star Trek: Attack Wing I.K.S. Kronos One/K’t'inga Class Ship Preview
From the WizKids Website
Once more unto the breach to take a special sneak peek at the last ship in Star Trek: Attack Wing’s first wave of expansions. In this last week we look at the Klingon’s newest addition to the game: the I.K.S. Kronos One. Coming in at 24 SP, the I.K.S. Kronos One makes a great addition to a player’s fleet with its ability to cause opposing ships to roll one fewer attack die when firing upon her at Range 3. Two unique captains– Chang and Gorkon– have two very different combat philosophies represented in their special abilities. Chang has the unique ability to disable an opposing Captain Card of a ship which he has in target lock while Gorkon can “sue for peace” by causing his ship and every ship attacking him to roll 2 fewer attack dice for a turn.

As you can see the I.K.S. Kronos One Expansion Pack has a wonderful balance of offensive and defensive offerings for a player as well as new Effect Tokens to help players remember card abilities when they are activated. You’ll surely get use out of all of the components as you build a 120 point fleet and try to get Gorkon across enemy space while attempting to complete the Escort The Chancellor’s Ship mission that also comes in the expansion. With the I.K.S. Maht-H’a and I.K.S. Negh’Var running alongside the I.K.S. Kronos One, it’s a sure bet that the Chancellor’s dream of peace will not die today.
Thank you for joining us for the previews of the Star Trek: Attack Wing Wave 1 ships– the I.K.S. Kronos One and three other expansion packs in Wave 1 of Star Trek: Attack Wing will be available for sale later this month at your local game store!
We look forward to seeing you in December for Wave 2 of Star Trek: Attack Wing!
Star Trek: Attack Wing
I.K.S. Kronos One/K’t'inga Class Ship
4 of 4 Wave 1 Star Trek: Attack Wing Expansion Packs
Releases: October 2013
“In Space, All Warriors Are Cold Warriors.”
–General Chang, to James T. Kirk (Star Trek VI, The Undiscovered Country)
No Star Trek: Attack Wing expansion would be complete without a few interesting Upgrades as well. Kerla
can assist in avoiding hits by converting one Battle Station result
into an Evasive Maneuver result if the attacking ship is within Range
1. Stex also provides a defensive boost but in the form of the
ability to keep Crew Upgrades from being disabled or discarded by the
opponent. For the more offensive minded individual, the unique skill Once More Unto The Breach
will greatly enhance the already potent Klingon ship’s attack potential
by allowing a ship’s Primary Weapon to make two total attacks during a
round at a -1 attack die penalty– however, this bold move comes at the
price of not being able to roll any defense dice for the remainder of
the round.
Keeping with the offensive nature of the Klingons, the I.K.S. Kronos One
expansion pack also contains two new Weapon Upgrades for players to
consider and both will be able to be used with great effect on one of
the first Klingon ships to sport a rear firing arc! First we see the
Klingon faction get a 5 attack Proton Torpedo very similar to
their Federation and Romulan counterparts which allows the player to
convert one Battle Station result into a Critical Hit. The Klingons
also get a new addition to their arsenal in the form of Concussive Charges. We’re going to take a bit more in depth look at this card as it has a lot going on with it.
Like many Weapon Upgrades, the Concussive Charges
require a Target Lock in order to use them in an attack. They can be
used at range 2-3 with an attack of 4. When the player lands a hit or
critical hit in the attack, they also get the benefit of removing 1
token of their choice that is next to the target ship for each
uncancelled hit or crit. This gives the player the ability to remove a
Scan, Battle Stations, Evasive Maneuver or Target Lock token. You can
even remove a cloak token which will then mean the opponent’s ship has
lost the defensive dice bonus from cloaking but their shields are
still disabled until the End Phase of the turn. All of these will
nicely set up the opponent for a devastating attack from another ship in
your fleet that round.
WizKids Press Release - Star Trek: Attack Wing 5th Wing Patrol Ship/Jem’Hadar Attack Ship Preview
From the WizKids Website
Commanding the ship will be the Jem’Hadar’s Vorta in the form of Weyoun and Lauran. Weyoun can be disabled to keep your Crew Upgrades from harm while Lauran reduces the cost of a Dominion upgrade by 2 SP. The Crew themselves also provide great additions to the ship. Omet’iklan can convert any result to a hit while Toman’torax has the ability to discard a Crew Upgrade from an opponent’s ship even if it is cloaked or has active shields. Virak’kara also provides support by allowing the Dominion player to disable a crew upgrade on an opponent’s ship and then be able to use the ability of that disabled upgrade but it should be noted that he and the rest of the Jem’Hadar crew can only be purchased for a Jem’Hadar ship.

With all of the variety in the 5th Wing Attack Ship expansion and the new Effect Tokens to help remind players of cards effects, Dominion fans will find many different combinations to help bolster the Cardassian and Breen ships already available for their favorite faction. Try out the enclosed mission, The First Battle of Chin’toka using one Jem’Hadar ship to fly alongside the Gor Portas or the Kraxon or field a 3 ship wing against the encroaching opponent. Regardless of how a player decides to build their fleet, the Dominion forces have never been closer to securing control of the Alpha Quadrant than right now!
Keep a look out next week when we skip back to the past to take a look at a Romulan ship from the 22nd Century: the I.R.W. Praetus.

5th Wing Patrol Ship/Jem’Hadar Attack Ship
2 of 4 Wave 1 Star Trek: Attack Wing Expansion Packs
Releases: October 2013
“Victory is Life!”
Welcome back, Star Trek: Attack Wing fans, to another peek into the ships of the Wave 1 expansion packs. This week we take a look at a starship of the genetically bred Jem’Hadar. The 5th Wing Patrol Ship Expansion Pack introduces one more Dominion ship to the game in the form of the Jem’Hadar Attack Ship. At 22 points, the 5th Wing Patrol Ship sports an extremely nimble movement dial and the ability to increase its damage output by gaining on additional attack die at the expense of losing a defensive die that turn. For 2 points less, a player can play the non-unique version with a more static attack and defensive capability.Commanding the ship will be the Jem’Hadar’s Vorta in the form of Weyoun and Lauran. The expansion also comes equipped with Photon Torpedoes and the Phased Polaron Beam
Secondary Weapons cards. The latter allows all damage to ignore an
opponent’s shields thereby allowing hits to impact straight to the
hull. Tech upgrades come in the form of the Long Range Tachyon Scan
which basically allows the player to spend a Scan token to cancel out
the Range 3 defensive bonus of its target while still impacting them
with the normal effects of a Scan token as well as the Suicide Attack
upgrade which will allow the Dominion player to roll an astonishing 8
attack dice against their opponent (at the cost of the destruction of
their own ship).
With all of the variety in the 5th Wing Attack Ship expansion and the new Effect Tokens to help remind players of cards effects, Dominion fans will find many different combinations to help bolster the Cardassian and Breen ships already available for their favorite faction. WizKids Press Release - Star Trek Attack Wing: The Dominion War Month One OP Kit Update
From the WizKids Website
Greetings Star Trek: Attack Wing Stores!
With the recent release of Star Trek: Attack Wing, stores everywhere are venturing into the Final Frontier as they begin The Dominion War Storyline Organized Play Series. However, some stores have not yet received their Dominion War OP materials and we wanted to take a moment to reassure everyone that these OP Kits are still available and that all pre-orders placed for the Month One OP kits (SKU 71258) will be filled.
Some of this confusion may stem from the fact that the Month One OP kit did not ship simultaneously with the main Star Trek: Attack Wing release on August 21st. The Month One OP kit released the following week and is still available for order!
We hope this clears up any confusion some stores may be experiencing regarding their Dominion War Month One OP kit orders, and thank you all for your continued support and interest!
