Out today, more forces for Bronze Age Hittite and Zagros, Taurus & Anatolian Highlander armies:
Middle and Late Bronze Age Highlanders of the Zagros and eastern
Taurus Mountains. These include Hurrians, Turukkeans and early Kassites
of the Middle Bronze Age and in the Late Bronze Age, tribes of the
Armenian Mountains as far as North-West Iran, including those tribes of
the Nairi Lands around Lake Van, and the early Urartians before the rise
of the Urartian state proper in the Iron Age.
These fierce warriors are armed with a mixture of spears, axes and
shields and are all wearing boots as a defence against the rugged
conditions of the highlands surrounding lowland Mesopotamia.
These figures can also suitably be used as early Thracians, who were allies of Late Achaean or Mycenaean armies of the Late Bronze Age.
Middle and Late Bronze Age Warriors of the Anatolian, Pontic and
western Taurus Highlands. These include the Gasgans or Kaska of northern
Anatolia and the Kizzuwatna of the Taurus Mountains.
The figures can be particularly used as levy or seasonal army
spearmen in Early Hittite armies and as Gasgan allies in Hittite Empire
armies.
