AEG Press Release - To Do What We Must: A Fateful Duel

Now, we’re ready to tip our hand on yet another way for you, as a fan, to change the course of history in Rokugan.

This year, at the Origins Game Fair, held in Columbus, Ohio, on June 11 – 15, we are offering an event titled “The First Taste of Blood.” It is described as follows:

Hero Games Press Release - Legendsmiths Update: Narosia; Sea of Tears

From the Hero Games Website

Legendsmiths is preparing for a GenCon release of the Narosia; Sea of Tears fantasy RPG. This game leverages the HERO System Toolkit to create a unique, stand-alone, action-fantasy RPG experience. In addition, Narosia uses a system of cards that allow the players to influence the plot by roleplaying the meddling gods of the world. This divine intervention mechanic adds to the epic feel and scale of the game, engaging all of the players to shape the story.

Backers from Narosia's Kickstarter campaign will be running introductory adventures at GenCon to give everyone an opportunity to explore the game. Additionally, Legendsmiths will be running a new adventure, Depths of Baradahm, at Origins and GenCon. This adventure continues the story from the introductory adventure included in the rulebook. Depths of Baradahm will be included in the forthcoming Narosia GM Resource Kit. This kit will include the adventure, a deck of Divine Intervention Cards, a GM Screen, and more.

Legendsmiths would like to thank all of the backers of the Narosia: Sea of Tears project for their continued support. It will be hosting a gathering to celebrate the release of the book at GenCon, open to backers and fans alike. Keep an eye on www.legendsmiths.com for details.

Mayfair Games Press Release - Origins 2013

From the Mayfair Games Website

Origins 2013

Giant Gangster
Origins 2013 was full of new and exciting changes for Mayfair this year.  We added a second booth to the game hall – giving us two demo and retail spaces.  The dealer’s hall highlighted our new releases including Zen Garden, Road Rally USA, Explorers & Pirates, Five Points and Aeroplanes.  And the game hall focused on many of our other popular titles such as Catan Junior, Urbania, Giza, Clash of Wills, Merchants of Europe, Star Trek Catan and many more.  This gave people a wide variety of games to choose from.
In addition to our two demo spaces we also offered a full event schedule highlighting giant and mammoth versions of yourfavorite Mayfair titles.  And Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening we held the Mayfair Git-Togethers  - four hours of casual play, including some surprise play opportunities including Martin Wallace’s latest game, The Witches and the upcoming Star Trek Catan Federation Space map set.
The final four in the CNAC qualifier
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday we held Catan North American Championship (CNAC) qualifier tournaments for over 40 participants.  In the end, on Sunday the final game came down to David Collins, Clark Goldentyer, Sherry Scott and Mari Storch.  David Collins finished first and will be heading to Gen Con Indy in August to compete in the CNAC final.
Origins was a successful show filled with lots of game demos and an increase in event participation – a big thanks to all our fans who continue to support our efforts and help make this all possible.  See you next year!
