Here at Mayfair Games, we’ve been doing Limited Edition Promo Expansions for a while now. Each tile sheet has expansions for at least three Mayfair Games and we’ve been providing them to hobby stores and customers that pre-order our games, or order them in the month of their release. We’re so pleased with the program we wracked our brains trying to figure out a way to get them into the hands of more folks and came up with the idea of including them as inserts in Game Trade Magazine, which we think is swell.

In our first issue we ran promo expansions for Mad City™, Station Master™ and Zen Garden™. Having done this once, surely we couldn’t do it again, right?

Greg Schloesser has reviewed Global Mogul for an upcoming issue of Counter Magazine.
He was kind enough to give us permission to quote his conclusion about the game:

Global Mogul is a challenging and tense game, one that tests players’ abilities to properly balance numerous factors and adapt to the actions of their opponents.  Players must keep their eyes on a multitude of different areas.  It isn’t enough to concentrate on filling contracts.  Controlling markets and regions is important, as is gaining those valuable end game bonuses.  To do this, one must continuously build their resource production so that contracts can be filled and markets can be dominated.  Income can be gained from those venture capitalists, but consistently fulfilling contracts can reduce or even eliminate the need for using a valuable action and agents to obtain money in that fashion.

On Friday, September 27th at 7pm, Mayfair Games South will be holding its monthly game night.

Come to our office, located at 106 NE Drane St, Ste 1 in Plant City, FL, 33563 and try our latest games, including Pompeii, Global Mogul and Star Trek Catan: Federation Space!

The night runs from 7pm to 11pm, first come first serve and no sales will be conducted at this event.
